On this album, Jason branched out from his acoustic folk sound to incorporate driving rock beats and a full band sound.  The album features talented Nashville musicians Bill Renfrew on guitars, Jon Young on bass, Jim Bloodgood on drums, and Lisa Chesney singing backup vocals.

Demo II

Released 1999, Madison WI

 

Demo II is a solo album recorded at Rhu Studios in Madison, Wisconsin.  Simply guitar and vocals, this album has an intimate contemporary folk sound.  The lyric-driven songs are confessional and representative of Jason’s years playing the coffee shop scene in Madison and Milwaukee.

Jason’s first recording features a mix of solo tracks and songs recorded with the help of gifted local musicians including Eddie Murphy (piano, vocals), Eric Buddington (fiddle), and Andrea Mazzariello (drums).  This album’s sound reflects Jason’s life as a budding musician immersed in the New England folk scene.
